Rashi’s Commentary on Tractate Sukkah

Rashi's commentary on the Babylonian Talmud has been the fundemental tool for the understanding of Talmudic texts for more than 900 years. This book presents a critical edition of Rashi's commentary on Tractate Sukkah. This edition is based on textual witnesses of the commentary.

The introduction describes in detail the various textual witnesses, and a discussion of several aspects of Rashi's commentary on T. Sukkah.

Dr. Aaron Ahrend is a lecturer in the Talmud Department at Bar-Ilan University. He published many studies on Talmudic commentary and Jewish liturgy. 

He also compiled Rashi's commentaries for T. Megillah (2008), and T. Rosh haShanah (2014).
