The Garden of Eilat

The garden of Eilat is the story of two pioneer scientists who established a garden in the desert to show how to make the desert green. The garden was built in Eilat near the red sea. The narrative is a biography of my parents, Hugo and Elisabeth Boyko, both of whom were botanists who received international acclaim in their field of research. One of their specific research schemes in plant ecology was irrigation with seawater and brackish water in Israel and other countries.
